Delivery Areas
Redbridge Builders Merchants Ltd delivers a wide range of top-quality building materials to local residents and building sites across Essex and London within a 10-mile radius of IG5 0NY. The delivery types and terms are explained below.
Delivery Costs
- Minimum order for delivery: £150
- Free delivery for orders over £150 within a 3-mile radius
- £20 delivery charge for orders under £200 within a 3-6 mile radius
- Free delivery on all orders above £300 within a 10-mile radius
🔹 You will only pay one delivery charge, and it will always be the lowest possible for your order.
🔹 If a delivery fails or the delivery address is amended, additional charges may apply.
Delivery Lead Time
- We aim to deliver all online orders within 2-5 working days (Monday – Saturday).
- If ordered early enough, we may offer same-day delivery.
- Our deliveries are usually between 8 AM – 5 PM.
- Some products are sourced directly from suppliers, which may cause slight delays.
- Due to high demand, delivery times may occasionally take longer than expected.
🚚 Once your order is dispatched, we will notify you via email.
Delivery Information
- Orders may be fulfilled in multiple deliveries.
- Do not begin work or installation until your order is received and checked.
- Redbridge Builders Merchants Ltd is not liable for any delays or consequential loss due to late deliveries.
Delivery Methods
- Kerbside delivery only: The driver will park as close as possible to unload using a vehicle-mounted crane.
- Deliveries must be checked and signed by someone over 18 years old.
Delivery Access Restrictions
- Our delivery fleet includes HGV trucks.
- Please notify us in advance about any access restrictions (e.g., narrow roads, red routes).
- If delivery fails due to incorrect instructions, you may incur extra charges.
Additional Charges
- If a delivery vehicle is kept waiting for an unreasonable time or returns without successful delivery, an additional charge may apply.
Returns & Refunds
We hope you’re happy with your purchase! However, if you change your mind, you can return items within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
Return Conditions
✔ Items must be unopened, unused, and in resalable condition.
✔ You are responsible for returning the goods at your own cost and providing proof of return.
✔ Alternatively, we can arrange collection, subject to a 30% restocking fee (varies by location and product type).
✔ Items must be returned with proof of purchase.
✔ Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving returned items.
✔ Refunds can only be made to the original payment method.
🚫 Non-Returnable Items:
- Custom-made/bespoke products
- Perishable goods or items with short shelf life
- Specially ordered goods
- Opened boilers
- Cement-based & plaster-based products
- Mixed paints, liquids, or chemicals
- PIR insulation boards
- Opened toilet seats (for hygiene reasons)
- Sensitive electrical goods (e.g., circuit boards) if seal is broken
- Installed/fitted items
- Items mixed with other orders after delivery
